PolyMC
A custom launcher for Minecraft that allows you to easily manage multiple installations of Minecraft at once (Fork of MultiMC)
Project mention: Best Steam Deck games of all time based on multiple lists | /r/SteamDeck | 2023-05-27No, not really. No one was in charge at the beginning. It was a community project with multiple people having the administrative role at the same time. LennyMcLennington was one of the contributers, but not really an important one. But he removed the administrative rights from the actually important people. Devs like flowln and Scrumplex played a much bigger role. Even after half a year being the only developer at the PolyMC-Project Lenny still heasn't caught up with what other conributers had done in a few months before. See: https://github.com/PolyMC/PolyMC/graphs/contributors

-
GDLauncher
GDLauncher is a simple, yet powerful Minecraft custom launcher with a strong focus on the user experience
I used to use GDLauncher, but I would not recommend installing a launcher that lets issues like this one go by for almost a year without being fixed: https://github.com/gorilla-devs/GDLauncher/issues/1288

Project mention: Custom Events in the Blocky World: Using JFR in Minecraft | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-11-28
I'm not sure how much of the built in JFR a mod for Minecraft called Spark uses but it is a fairly common tool for debugging and visualising lag on modded servers https://spark.lucko.me/

For those that don't know, CC:Tweaked is the sucessor of ComputerCraft, a fabulous mod for Java Minecraft that adds computers that runs a Lua VM and are able to run programs, interact with some blocks and do redstone stuff. Also it add "mobile" computers/robots aka Turtles that have everything computers do plus they are mobile and can break and place blocks in the world. For large scale building and intricate redstone projects this is a must have mod.
