My recommendation is to drop the UserDefaults funny business altogether. The library you're using (I'm assuming it's this one) provides ways for you to only conditionally create the table if it doesn't already exist.
A safe, extensible ORM and Query Builder for RustProject mention: diesel.exe - Application Error | reddit.com/r/rust | 2021-04-20
I managed to install the diesel cli like they showed on the getting started page, but when I try to run the diesel commands from command promt I get an error box that pops up saying: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." Apparently there was a similar issue previously (https://github.com/diesel-rs/diesel/issues/2034) but they just said its probably some missing DLLs but how do I know what DLLs are missing? Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

A few of the most important characteristics of the solution we wanted was that any documentation-related work had to be easy for developers, and it would ideally be located in proximity to the actual implementing code. Anvil's web application is written in Node, and we chose Apollo as our GraphQL framework and use a modified version of Bookshelf as our ORM.

Thanks for this. I've been using Beekeeper Studio (https://www.beekeeperstudio.io/) and I've been mostly happy with it, but glad to see alternatives. The only problem I have with Beekeeper is that scrolling the table view is really slow (laggy and jumpy), I assume it's because of Electron. Is DbGate any different there, you're using Electron too?

Database management in a single PHP fileProject mention: CloudBeaver – Database Management from Browser | news.ycombinator.com | 2021-04-11
I have still been using Adminer via a docker image to quickly run an admin interface in a browser.
This looks a lot nicer. I remember the DBeaver name but I've not used it in a long time. I'll be using this instead of Adminer on my next project to give it a whirl.

I've used https://github.com/dimitri/pgloader to migrate our small prod DB from MySQL. THe worst part was to get it to compile, then it worked ok. I had to run it several times because it was running out of memory at first, but then with a bigger instance it ran ok.
