If you're looking for examples of high quality openscad code, dotSCAD is pretty cool. nophead (old school reprap person and one of the openscad developers) has a parts library that I think is high quality.

Old issue, but annoying nonetheless. Less of a problem when outputting STL files (for printing) which only support polylines and not arcs/circles. Funnily enough, 3D printers nowadays support arcs natively in G-code, so some slicers support detecting rounded polylines and converting them back into circles or arcs.
Found a script[0] that does this for DXFs in a github issue[1].

Project mention: Dune 3D – an open source parametric 3D CAD app bassed on OCCT | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-10-23
> I would love to see a successor to OpenSCAD
There is quite a few "code" CAD's around https://github.com/Irev-Dev/curated-code-cad. Cadquery has contraints but isn't really a DSL.

tryadactyl
Methodology for custom tuning a concave, column-staggered, split keyboard with thumb clusters (AKA Dactyl). Centered on an OpenSCAD library for designing all sorts of ortholinear-ish keyboards supporting a variety of keycaps including Cherry profile. Additionally supports trackpoints, and 5-way navigation switches.
Project mention: Does a concave keyboard remove the need for finger splay? | /r/ErgoMechKeyboards | 2023-04-26the amount of the design space that's been explored is quite small, that's why i built the try-a-dactyl library to foster experimentation, rather than to produce a preconceived shape, with some tunable params.

I have been using this openscad project for about 2 years now to generate dice sets with custom fonts and what not. It's been working great until very suddenly now openscad seems to be running out of memory and crashing. I used to be able to render the entire set of 7-8 dice at once without issue, but now sometimes it runs out when rendering just the D20 by itself. I tried redownloading the file and starting from a clean version just in case it was an issue of too many presets. No change. I am on v2021.01 which is the latest supported version for this project. I tried upgrading to v2023 and it actually rendered great with fast rendering enabled but unfortunately some needed features of this project aren't supported and I don't personally know much about openscad code to fix that. I tried a fresh install of 2021.01 as well as going back to 2019.05, nothing seems to be working.
