SaaSHub
SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews. SaaSHub helps you find the best software and product alternatives
Especially because these languages are only one package/install away and not two. I don‘t really get for which audience is targeted here. Usage in JS projects maybe, but then why not write it as npm tasks. ..
I‘m playing around with dotnet-scripts [1] at the moment (C# shop mainly) and this has the same issue imho. The reason why I looked into it was because we have developers not accustomed to bash etc. I still find it silly and would rather use ruby so…

I'm not a fan of this approach. I think the Secrets Store CSI Driver (https://secrets-store-csi-driver.sigs.k8s.io/) has a better approach.
So, apparently ceph doesn't provide this feature anymore and, while for rbd this works fine, I'm left a bit confused. Following these examples https://github.com/ceph/ceph-csi/tree/devel/examples/cephfs I thought it would be enough, but not sure anymore.
The AWS EBS CSI Driver relies on IAM permissions to communicate with Amazon EBS for volume management on behalf of the user. The example policy can be used to define the required permissions. Additionally, AWS provides a managed policy at ARN arn:aws:iam::aws:policy/service-role/AmazonEBSCSIDriverPolicy
The interface software regarding is not a worry of mine, as democratic-csi does the storage management for me, thus the compatibility it is not limited to the application using the storage per se, as this is handled by Kubernete's CSI drivers, being application-agnostic when utilizing the storage provided. My main worry is not latency, but rather RAM
Using nfs-subdir-external-provisioner instead of csi-driver-nfs
Project mention: Barcelona Supercomputing Center presents Sargantana: new open-source RISC-V chip | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-12-14>Likely you couldn't even go back and make a fab that makes large volumes of 60nm-90nm node sizes at all, for any amount of money, because the equipment to do this (new) hasn't been made in 2 decades and no company is willing to invest the money to make new crappy old equipment.
I believe your argument assumes that there is a fixed cost to produce even 180nm or 350nm ICs that hasnt changed since the first one was produced.
We still need 300 years for a 300 year old tree, but 25 year old technology might now be relatively easy to build if we start from scratch.
What was high tech then might be relatively easy to solve now. One example might be https://github.com/circuitvalley/USB_C_Industrial_Camera_FPG... being open source instead of a multi year, multi million dollar project.
I’m not aware of anything but you might want to look at the TopoLVM lvmd implementation. It’s a Kubernetes storage plugin for LVM and it talks to a interface daemon over gRPC so it might be useful inspiration at least.
