You can roll your own with https://github.com/smallstep/certificates. We maintain major open source projects and contribute a lot to other projects. I don’t think that means everything we do has to be open source. Sorry this one wasn’t. Doing this in pure open source would be a book, not a blog post.
Love Let’s Encrypt — we’re sponsors — but using them for WiFi is a terrible idea. You need internal PKI for WiFi.
Project mention: Seeking Guidance: SSL Certification for a Local Server in Windows 2019 Data Center Environment | /r/sysadmin | 2023-05-23Option 2+: If your public DNS is hosted by a provider that has Win-ACME or Certify the Web support, use Let's Encrypt and automate the whole thing.
XCA PKI (https://github.com/chris2511/xca) Local Certificate Authority software used for generating internal CA and SSL certs. All of my HTTPS interfaces in my lab have the magic green padlock. I did this for no other reason than to learn more about how to manage and deploy SSL certificates also, the Chrome security warnings are really annoying.
Project mention: Certifiably Thrifty: How I Snagged GitHub’s Foundation Certification for Free! | dev.to | 2024-04-22If you've been eyeing this certification, now is your chance to grab it without emptying your pockets, just head over to the GitHub Certification page, complete the registration process and at the checkout page keep those peepers peeled for that coupon code.
Again, strange attitude, given that he personally had legal issues with US in the past, the reasons for which were never disclosed[1].
Typical good developers are not Rambo. When law enforcers come to them and force them at gunpoint to make them commit/add a new maintainer, they should not expect active resistance. Minor reminder: curl is not just some http library, they maintain their own CA list[2]. They don't need any intricate hidden lines for backdoor, CA list is a backdoor on its own.
