Folks who run pihole, how often does it interrupt things that shouldn't be (if at all)
You are right! Actually I was looking into that a while back and had found this: https://github.com/yubiuser/pihole_adlist_tool
- I found a cool tool to help make managing aggregated blocklists easier

Externally download lists and build database
I would suggest using this tool (not supported by PiHole devs) to audit which lists are actually used. I’ve run this tool and discovered that several lists I added weren’t doing anything at all (If you need help with this tool please use the GitHub page to discuss).

How many blocklist is enough?
Periodically running the adlist tool, as you add more lists, will help determine which of your lists are actually useful. I eliminated about half my lists by doing this.

I want to use #images on my iPhone for gifs in imessage, but I keep having to whitelist domains like these. Is there a regex I can add to make this automatic since I don’t want to keep white listing?
If you want to, you can reevaluate the added lists after 14-30 days using this tool (not supported by PiHole devs) to audit which lists are actually used. I’ve run this tool and discovered that several lists I added weren’t doing anything at all (If you need help with this tool please use the GitHub page to discuss).
