BSPWM's Linux IPC Socket protocol (Anyone familiar with it?)
I tried to understand how bspwm's IPC protocol worked a while ago, take a look at src/bspc.c for the implementation, which is less than 100 lines of code. The sending part (the one I was interested in) seems very simple, it connects to the unix socket and sends a string made up of all the command line arguments, each ended by a null byte.
