What tool do you guys use for cropping, resizing, converting images?
As for resizing, if you're fine with it being "manual" and you're on windows, there is a tool inside powertoys that can do bulk image resizing though it requires a little setup config - https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys

If you're over windows and need a long term solution you should try Power Toys https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys It's made by microsoft and one of its features is remapping the keyboard I don't know if it will solve your problem but I would give it a try, for me it has been a super useful tool

i3-wm for Windows
Honestly the closest you'll get to i3wm on Windows is the PowerToys tool developed by Microsoft. It includes a few tools such as Fancy Zones (the window manager) and others, such as rebinding keys on your keyboard and PowerToys run (Spotlight from Mac in Windows) Here's the link for PowerToys: https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/releases

An Attempt At Simplicity
The sidebar and clock are from Muon Suite Rainmeter Theme, I only edited some of the shortcuts from the sidebar, translating them to my native language and connecting them to my folders. The search bar featured on the top of the screen is a part of the program called Power Toys, which offers you many more options to tweak your desktop. In the end, I centered the icons on taskbar using a little program called Taskbar X, which is, in my opinion, by far the quickest way to do this. It is such a small yet so aesthetically pleasing modification! And, last but not least, here is the wallpaper.
