Need help updating original 3DS
reddit.com/r/3DS | 2021-01-21
Preferably you'd update Luma first before installing Nintendo's newest firmware update. And yeah, Luma Updater is currently broken. You need to update manually by replacing the boot.firm on your SD card with the latest release(10.2.1), which you can find here.
Updated to the latest version and this happens..... Any fixes towards this?

Take out the microSD from the 3DS. Put it in your computer (you'll probably need an SD card adapter). Download the newest luma version from their website. Copy boot.firm to the root of your 3DS SD card.reddit.com/r/3dshacks | 2021-01-08
Total Noob here. I've got Luma and BootNTR on my n2DSXL, only plan on using it for Snickerstream game capture. So far its been working fine, but now that I'm trying to play Ocarina of Time, I have discovered that game automatically turns off the wifi when you play, which obviously cuts the connection to Snickerstream. In doing some research I came across this, which seems to indicate that there is a way in Luma to disable the wifi turning off. But I have no idea how. Help appreciated, especially if you can walk me through it like I'm 8 years old.

Grab the latest version of Luma3DS from its GitHub repository here, and extract the files named boot.firm and boot.3dsx. You also need to have a way to access the contents of a zip file, by the way. Afterwards, open up the contents of the SD card and copy those two files onto it. If you're asked to overwrite the old files, make sure to click yes. Again, the goal is to get rid of the old files and replace them with newer ones. You're pretty much done after that, and you can put the card back into the 3DS. If something called "Luma configuration menu" shows up when your boot up the 3DS, just press Start and it should go straight to the Home Menu.

Need help with modded 3DS

Try the same process with the Health and Safety app instead. If that fails, then try replacing the boot.3dsx and boot.firm files on the root of your SD card with the newest versions from GitHub.
¿¿¿Did I mess up beyond repair? I updated my homebrewed 3dsXl and now anytime I turn it on this comes up and it shuts off???

Download it here: https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/releases/tag/v10.2.1 And place the files in the zip file on the root of the SD Card.
I just updated my 3DS and when it loaded back up, I was met with this screen. Shutting down does nothing and the only other option is to save the crash dump. I don’t have a clue what this means, I’m not a tech savvy person at all so if anyone can help that would be great.

Which DS model is best for homebrew?
reddit.com/r/NDSHacks | 2020-12-31
For Japanese consoles, the 3DS can be region modded to change the language however I think this does have some side effects like breaking the eShop. You can easily use locale emulation without region modding though and most homebrew should support English fine but I'm not sure if locale emulation affects the system menu and such.
3ds wont boot after turning it on, only error code

It kind of sounds like you updated arm11code.bin instead of boot.firm. Can you clarify boot.firm was updated with the latest?
