    Ah yeah that'll be the issue. You'll have to compile your own firmware for the board. Marlin has a sample config here: but I'm not sure if the board has a bootloader for that.

    download which is where you would have found the default config file for the ender 3 v2, but also has the LCD firmware inside the zip go to config -> example -> Creality -> Ender-3 V2

    However if you are interested in learning how to compile it yourself, you can find the Configuration.h and Configuration_adv.h files in the top-level Marlin directory. If you need to grab sample config files, you can find them on the Marlin Github: -- you'll want to take the one for your printer to get things like the stepper driver current values, etc. correct.

  • My Hictop Prusa i3 just blew up, need suggestions! is a solid tutorial on how to compile your own firmware. Marlin has a bunch of preset configurations for printers: but not for yours. It does look like an Anet A8 clone though, so I'd maybe start with that one.
