Anyone else experience this? It works for a while then i get hit with this and have to reinstall
Use this tool it blocks windows from downloading driver updates. https://github.com/DavidXanatos/wumgr you can also try wushowhide but for win 11 it didn't worked for me also after you block updates use ddu and install driver fresh to avoid bugs or something

how do i stop this update it installed automatically overnight, i looked into yt and since i have win 10 home i cant use thr gpmsc method from those videos, how do i stop this and ive intentionally tagged this as discussion pls dont remove it mods

As I said I do not have this -similar- error as a couple of days. How I fixed? I installed a program called Update Manager for Windows (downloadable via github HERE): differently than the regular windows update and/or Lenovo Vantage it "discovered" 3 updates not mentioned on these programs (Lenovo Ltd Firmware 1.37.0.0 , Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - MTD - 10.0.22000.21354 and Lenovo monitor 6.14.15.0) which helped to have -up to now- a normal running computer. :-)

so, i couldnt open my radeon software after the recent update, i wanna follow these instructions and uninstall the software and reinstall it, need help in finding where to get the compatible version and need advice on whether its okay to uninstall the radeon software
So many people in this thread giving bad advice. This happens because Windows Update installs an older version of the AMD Driver that is not compatible with the updated Radeon Software. I was able to permanently fix this on my laptop. You'll need to download wumgr and DDU. Run DDU and uninstall the AMD GPU drivers. Reboot the PC after the uninstall. Once you're back in Windows run WUMGR and have it search for updates. AMD drivers will come up as available. Select both of those updates and hide them. Once you hide them you can now download the newest amd drivers directly from their website and not have this issue again.

Download Wumgr after installing the newer AMD drivers. Have it search for updates. Chose the two AMD driver updates that come up and click hide .

Is there anyway to stop Windows from giving me these garbage driver updates when I get them directly from AMD? These drivers that Windows forcefully installs prevents games like DOOM Eternal from launching. For now, I’ve just paused all updates, but I really don’t want to have to do that.

Get Windows Update Manager (https://github.com/DavidXanatos/wumgr). Disable Automatic Updates. Install only manually. Do no install any updates, especially not drivers, just because newer versions are available. And for the love of god, uninstall crap lile Geforce Experience.

FPS drop and stuttering
I should have added that Windows (10 and 11) like to downgrade the Radeon drivers, which in turn breaks Radeon Software. Fixing this behavior cannot be achieved without a third-party solution. I use WuMgr to hide the driver 'updates.'
