(effectively) infinite custom heightmaps
Step 1: Get Worldengine and install it. There's instructions on how to do this on the github page. I use Linux but there's binaries and steps for Windows there as well.

Relief-Shaded Procedural DEMs
The results look fantastic! I wonder, how difficult would it be to replace/supplement the base Perlin-Noise heightmap with a .png heightmap or DEM? I've been working with https://github.com/Mindwerks/worldengine for years but upscaling and eroding the heightmaps has always been a struggle.

Is WorldEngine still working in 2021?
I recently came across this neat-looking tool for world generation. https://github.com/Mindwerks/worldengine/ This looked perfect, so despite my lack of knowledge of programming I jumped in... but the guides seems to be outdated? For example, the guide for installing on Windows assumes that we are still using Python 2.7 & Windows 7. Is it outdated? Or is there other method that I am not aware of?
