Show HN: I created a Chrome extension that block media giants in Google search
You can turn it off or on to achieve everything, a new plugin (with new attach surface). Even better, this can be done as uBlock Origin list too.

How I Made Google's "Web" View My Default Search
Not to discourage you from paying for Kagi (and without knowing what platform you use) but I use https://github.com/iorate/ublacklist to remove Pintrest from my search results and it works perfectly.

Ask HN: Identifying trustworthy sources and filtering search results?
addon [1] to remove sites that I suspected were spammy; For example, the entire `shop` domain, the `ai` domain, etc. Then also, I started to tag sites that were trustworthy with colors to indicate trustworthiness. For example, I might highlight results from the New York Times in green to indicate a high degree of trustworthiness, while I might highlight results from Reddit in Yellow to indicate "somewhat trustworthy". The addon is not built to do this, but it does seem to be one of the only ones that is well maintained and has the ability to visually indicate the trustworthiness/reputability of a search result.
This solution has been working well for me, but I wanted to reach out to the HN community to see if:
1) Is this a concern for you? I might be one of a few people who has this concern and takes steps to address it.
2) If this is a concern, how do you address it? For example, I could see some people keeping a text file with "known good" sites and searching that when they need to check.
Thanks.
