There are definitely other CS professors that aren't very great though. Rodion P (idk how to spell his last name) is very smart, but his lectures are very monotone, and he really just talks about whatever he wants to, meaning there's not much structure to the class. I've had him for Foundations of CS 2, OOP, and Software Engineering Project. In CS 2, he was basically teaching data structures, which honestly made it so that when I took data structures, it was a bit easier, but I feel like I missed a lot of learning that other classes were being taught for that class. In OOP, he basically just focused on the main OOP principal definitions (Inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation), with very little application to them. For the SE Project class, it actually wasn't too bad. He barely had any lecture material though, which was kind of nice, because it gave plenty of time to work on the project, which is something that each group gets to choose what they want to do. You don't have to use a specific language or implement anything in particular, just whatever project you want to make. For example, my "group" (I use quotations because I was the only one who did anything... I hate group projects because others always slack off lol) decided to use Googles fairly new language, called Flutter, to create a Real Estate app (if you want to see more about it, its on my github at https://github.com/noahfoe/texas_real_state). The biggest takeaway from him, is that I feel like he just gives everyone A's, and doesn't post grades. I thought I was making a C in CS 2, but made an A, and I thought I was going to make a D in OOP, but made an A. Still haven't gotten my grade for SE Project, but I'm assuming it will also be an A. I guess if you are looking for easy A classes, then he would be good to take, but I also feel like I was stripped of a lot of learning that other profs were teaching in those classes, except for SE Project, I really enjoyed the way he let us do whatever we wanted for the project.
