Only wireless controllers are supported for the time being. You can use sys-con for wired controllers, but it seems to be unmaintained and I can't say whether it works on the latest firmwares.

Not with Bluetooth unfortunately. If you don't mind wired though, you can use sys-con, but it might take several tries to connect the controller.

Is it possible to use an actual N64 controller on Switch.
Not sure if it'll work, but... it's worth trying https://github.com/cathery/sys-con if you can grab an N64 to USB adapter off Amazon. Sadly, Mission Control doesn't support USB yet. If you had an N64 to Bluetooth adapter that might work with Mission Control too, but AFAIK they only sell the reverse thing (bluetooth receivers you plug into your n64 to use a modern controller).
