10+ years of Sumo GONE
I like the idea of something like SuperHighway84 for talking about our collections. We could make one called YoutubeGraveyard or something. There's also r/DHExchange
-
Reminder: Libgen is also hosted on the IPFS network here, which is decentralized and therefore much harder to take down
Superhighway84 is like a decentralized usenet/forum that runs off of ipfs.

Any DataBase-type project built on IPFS?
superhighway84 uses orbitdb.
-
IPFS has an indexing problem. The search engines suck.
SuperHighway84 is a neat option for that.

Is it long-past time to have an “updateable torrent”?
Then, there's SuperHighway84 where people could announce what they have. Could create a highway strictly for youtube monitoring and have people create groups for whoever they're archiving.

Louis Rossmann is considering deleting his channel to replace it with separate ones. It's unclear whether he will re-upload old content. He is known for his extensive tutorials on board repair, work on right to repair, and industry perspective. This content is valuable and would be a shame to lose
I'm hopeful for SuperHighway84 as a place where people could organize archives. People could potentially build a highway for youtube archiving in general, or one dedicated to Louis if they thought he was becoming a big enough project. People could post what they have, what resolutions, etc. and eventually build what's considered a master copy.

Cheap, reliable way to host free archive of films of solidarity and struggle
If you can get superhighway84 to work then you could even use it as a meeting place to gather all the latest hot solidarity videos. People submitting files to be included in your IPNS address.
-
An interesting concept
If people wanted, they could probably make an archival hub using Superhighway84, which is like a decentralized forum/usenet. I imagine people breaking things down into categories and posting CIDs for people to include in collections.

Hello guys I'm new to IPFS and have some questions
If anyone could convince people to use it, SuperHighway84 could potentially be a place for people to curate content. I think I would prefer it to reddit because things would be grouped together, maybe it doesn't matter. Could have like alt.linux.isos, dead.youtube.channels, etc.
