  • A brief description on my experience developing my second C project
    3 projects | /r/C_Programming | 12 Aug 2021
Summer vacation started and I have no school nor annoying exams, so I decided to start developing a new command line C program that helps me manage my documents and books since I read a lot of them and most of my work is done from the command line. I decided to call it "mdoc" which stands for "manage documents". It has some nice features that are useful to me, but I also made an extra effort to add more features that might be useful for somebody else. I really enjoyed working on this project. I learned lots of new things, I feel that my coding style and skills were so much improved from my first C project, so I'm proud of myself. I also really hope that it serves and helps some of you guys.
  • Question for the Linux geeks who can’t stop tinker the system nor clean it.
    1 project | /r/linuxquestions | 18 Apr 2021
Hi guys, I finished my project today and I want to ask you for maybe some ideas or new features that you would like to see in a Linux program of this kind. I already added everything that I came to my mind. So the program is kind of rsync helper that reads from configurations file do some cleaning and house keeping for the system then backup the system in a storage device. The configuration file has 5 sections: 1. Directories to clean before backup (like cache dirs) 2. Section for commands that you regularly execute before back up like cleaning package manager cache or generating a list for the installed packages. 3. Section for the Storage device path. 4. Section for the rsync options. 5. Lastly section for the directories to backup. Each section has it’s own feature like optional or required or maybe executing commands with it as root... So im posting this to ask you guys of some new features or ideas to add for my project. Here is the link for the repository if someone would like to read more about the program or see it. Any ideas are appreciated guys
