I just started using Rotki: https://rotki.com/. It’s local, has premium version, API to exchanges and other services/wallets. So far so good.

Rotki is the only opensource portfolio tracking and accounting tool for cryptocurrencies and more that focuses on privacy and data ownership.

We are building a local-first opensource app that helps users track and do accounting for their finances (mainly crypto) and keep that data safe and away from centralized servers.

We are a really small team and looking for new dev/s to join us.

Looking mainly for a python backend dev (https://rotki.com/jobs/backend) and secondly for a vue.js/electron frontend one(https://rotki.com/jobs/frontend). More info in the website's job postings.

I dont' know what Blockfolio does exactly, but Rotki is pretty highly regarded for portfolio tracking: https://rotki.com/
  • Yet another tax question
RE: Recordkeeping and Crypto Profit/Loss Calculating - If you are looking to keep your costs down, it may be worthwhile looking into a crypto tax software service like Koinly or CoinTracking (I am also a big fan of an open source project in this space called Rotki) as this may help to make piecing everything together just a little bit easier. Alternatively, happy to help out where I can. Hit me up in DMs if you like.
  • Do you need a crypto tax software? I'm considering writing an open source desktop app to sift through the reports that exchanges provide and comparing it to market history data to generate usable gain/loss summary documents
Perhaps consider contributing to rotki (https://github.com/rotki/rotki). The application looks pretty slick, but only supports BTC and ETH blockchains as far as I can tell. That would be better than writing everything from scratch.
  • Accounting / tracking software (Linux, OSS, primarily offline, double entry)
rotki. Seems to be very nice, however, it seems to not have really good support of crypto.com ecosystem + I am not sure if it double-entry. It is my weapon of choice at the moment, but due to not having good support of crypto.com, I am not too fond of it
  • Crypto Tax Software or Site
    reddit.com/r/Finanzen | 2021-05-01
Just yesterday I tried out Rotki (https://github.com/rotki/rotki) and it seems to work nicely. It can query the APIs of a couple of exchanges automatically (no manual CSV import implemented!) and generate a report of profits / losses and the taxable fraction of those. You also get a detailed list of each transaction (based on FIFO, incl fees etc) and a CSV export which imports into Google spreadsheets.
