  • I finally beat a single-player game after decades of being addicted (and finally quitting) MMORPG's!
  • How to start?
    reddit.com/r/DnD | 2021-10-14
you start by reading the free basic rules to D&D 5e found on the wizards of the coast website. after that you create a practice character and boom you are all set to find a group to actually play with. try r/lfg or roll20.net to look for games that are beginner friendly.
  • Is this possible to play tabletop RPG online?
    reddit.com/r/rpg | 2021-10-13
Good place to start is probably http://roll20.net which is one of the bigger apps / communities used to do just this. They have a fairly decent looking for group section. But there are loads of alternatives, such as "Foundry VTT" or "Fantasy Grounds ".
  • Looking for a DND/RPG group
    reddit.com/r/Appleton | 2021-10-13
Otherwise have you ever heard of Roll20. All online RPG system. Little bit of a learning curve, but when shit first hit, my group went to this system, and Discord. Was decent fun. Easier to toss memes and funny shit back and forth, visuals for the role playing… stuff like that. Plus, in the comfort of your own home.
  • What is the best game you've ever played?
    reddit.com/r/AskReddit | 2021-10-11
Roll20 has a feature to find open games. But if you have one friend who is willing to play, it is possible. You can even do it by yourself if you are really motivated, but the video game versions work well for that too.
  • New to D&D
It's totally possible to play online! There's a lot of places you can find a group, but a really popular site for both finding and playing is roll20 - it's where I found the DnD game I'm currently playing in!
  • Is there an online way to play D&D?
roll20.net is a great free tool for all kinds of things, but mostly used for online D&D. Not everything is automated but that is just how D&D is, isn't it?
  • Dnd may end, but friendship is forever.
    reddit.com/r/dndmemes | 2021-10-07
Check out roll20. Plenty of games there you could probably join. https://roll20.net/
  • How i rolled into WoD
    You tried https://roll20.net ?
  • Where to find a DnD game to join?
    reddit.com/r/Edmonton | 2021-09-27
You could go to roll20.net and look for an online group
  • Dawn of Selune, [Online] [5E] [GMT-5]

Using roll20.net and I have a personal Discord to keep relevant info and for you, as players, to ask me any questions. I will also be posting summaries of each session either the day of or day after, so our convenience.
  • Taking an unintentional T break due to health reasons and suddenly i feel like I have a lot of free time. I dont want to spend it playing GTA all the time - what is a productive hobby that you're obsessed with?
    reddit.com/r/Petioles | 2021-09-26
u/OnehooWalks pretty much covers a broad portion that I could say, all I have to add are there are tons of online servers for finding groups if you want to do online. And there is pretty good support for the game through websites like Role20 which take the game to a pandemic approved experience! Or even if you just have other things going on it can be nice to set up once a month PC game days or something. I highly recommend the hobby. The learning curve can feel steep at first but if you like board games, acting, storytelling, and improvisation its one of the most addicting hobbies you can find!
  • How to make the online RPG more immersive?
    reddit.com/r/rpg | 2021-09-26
  • Is there any multiplayer DnD online game where we can do play animations and stuff? Like a UI for playing DnD?
The most popular is Roll20 I think. I personally use Astral TableTop that has a Free tier
  • Online Guilds/ Games I can Join?
    reddit.com/r/DnD | 2021-09-22
r/lfg is the go-to community for it here on Reddit. Roll20 has a section in their website to look for online groups as well.
