How to disable built-in formatter from LSP in favor of a stand-alone formatter?
This is how I did it: https://github.com/rochakgupta/dotfiles/blob/master/.config/nvim/lua/kickstart/plugins/autoformat.lua. Essentially, I’m fallbacking to null-ls when language server does not support formatting. Even for some that do, I’m overriding to use null-ls. Let me know if anything isn’t clear.

What are some software you would install on a brand new Mac laptop?
Shameless plug, dotfiles is my repo I use to keep track of softwares I use along with how I manage their config. It is still a WIP, but README should be enough for you to pick up some useful stuff.
