Stable alternative to Rstudio with good autocomplete and plot on separate window?
For function docs, if you have the R vscode extension and languageserver package installed, the command "R: Show help" (which you can access from the command palette or bind to a keyboard shortcut) brings up a list of options. Also, if you use radian, which vscode does by default with the R extension, the standard ?myfunction syntax in the terminal will open a rich-text function reference in a vscode pane.
I'd recommend radian for autocomplete + httpgd for plotting.

What's your setup like to make your life easier?
I use the same extension you linked, along with: - Radian for syntax-highlighting & auto-completion - VSCode-R-Debugger - httpgd for serving graphics via HTTP
