Confused about qmk flashing layouts to crkbd
I didn't want to really start another thread because the question I have is so similar I think. I was somehow able to use config.qmk.fm to map a really generic colemak-dh keymap, I read the qmk noob section so I looked up how to use github/git completely lost, I have the Corne 3x6 I didn't build it I purchased it secondhand so Ive been doing some research on ergonomic mapping Miryoku generally seems to be a solid choice

Dactyl Manuform with Amoeba King PCBs -- Keypresses not detected
Let's suppose that the issue is the diode orientation. I'm a total QMK newbie -- how could I swap between ROW2COL and COL2ROW at the firmware level? On the QMK Github I see instructions for modifying the appropriate headers. But when I generate my config from config.qmk.fm I only get a single .hex file. Thanks again!

Can Corne keymap be converted for use with Piantor keyboard?
Probably the easiest way to do it by clicking buttons is to use config.qmk.fm.

Is it possible for the PC to detect Raise/Lower with QMK?
That said, have you considered a slightly more analog approach? When I was learning my layout, I just went on QMK configurator, found my keyboard and the layout I modified. Then I went through and updated it with my changes, printed it all out, cut it up, and taped the cutouts to the bottom of my monitor(s).

Is there a 90 % / 96 % ortholinear with Nordic layout?
I recently converted my layouts to be importable into config.qmk.fm which you can find at github.com/Loyen/qmk-keyboard-layouts.

Ask HN: What can I do about my declining typing ability as I age?
In my experience it does become harder to type on staggered keyboards unless you're continuing to do it regularly. You may need to relearn to do that. Same deal with continuing QWERTY usage.
VIA is proprietary and not really an official QMK thing (QMK is free software). There is also Vial[0] which is free software if you want a GUI, and the QMK configurator[1] web app (but this lacks some features like enabling mouse keys or NKRO).
Lastly I want to add that Workman[2] may be preferable to Colemak Mod-DH. Rather than an attempt to fix major issues in Colemak like Mod-DH, it's a whole new layout that avoided the issues from the start. I have also heard from some that it had ortholinear and columnar stagger boards in mind with its design.
I type on a Pinky4[3] keyboard that I assembled from a kit. More keys than your keyboard, but a similar idea. I was coming from a 60% and wanted a similar amount of keys. I've been quite happy with it.

Does anyone know how i can make this happen on a keyboard? Any recommendation on brand or model?
QMK is a CLI-ish way for modifying your compatible kb (there is a GUI for making your config). You have to create a config, compile it, and then flash/burn it to the kb. Every kb is different and it can get confusing to flash them sometimes. It's a multi-step process with a lot of tech jargon you need to understand.

Noob here, need help please with online vs local QMK
Hi, so I bought a Keebio Iris, and it seems like some of the things I'm trying to do are beyond the capabilities of the online configurator at config.qmk.fm — such as setting up macro keys, key chords and setting a different value for multiple taps (2 instead of the default 5).

ErgodoxE EZ – an ergonomic keyboard with open source firmware
I'm very late to this party, but here's an amazing list of buildable keyboards[0], specifically linked are the split ones (like Ergodox).
Most of these today run QMK and specifically the Configurator[1].
I recommend most people stay away from the Ergodox unless your hands are larger and have a specific reach. While a great keyboard back in 2012-2015, the thumb cluster is outside of comfortable for most people and there have been a lot of improvements in this area over the years.
If building a keyboard yourself isn't your thing, I highly recommend the keyboard.io crew.
