Check out Payload if you haven't seen it. We built Quikplow which is a native app (basically Uber for snow plows) and used Payload for auth, access control, file storage, Stripe Connect integration, etc. Saved a lot of time and we built the MVP in 3 months start to finish. Might be a good fit for your project.

Have you tried Payload yet instead of Strapi? Seems like you've got a good amount of experience and I'd love to know what you think of Payload if you've tried it.

Check out Payload, it has a beautiful admin interface that rivals WordPress and it's written in a very modern way using Node.js and TypeScript. It is both a "headless cms" and "application framework" meaning you can build essentially anything you want with it, including high-end enterprise-sized websites that both engineers and content editors will love using.

If you want to delve into the Headless approach, I'd suggest taking a look at Payload CMS. Our npx create-payload-app will get you up and running in minutes, and you can pair it very nicely with NextJS for the frontend. We've also got a couple of repos you can fork that work serverlessly. If you run into anything, you can join our discord and we'll get you taken care of. Best of luck!

Payload is incredibly stable and is used widely in production, including at the enterprise level. Payload Cloud is also out now, too, providing one-click deployments. Of course you can always self-host Payload, this will never change. Aaand multiple database support is under active development right now, including SQL support. It's being done entirely in public with direct input from the community—would love your input here! https://github.com/payloadcms/payload/discussions/287
