Why I Like Obsidian
This is basically what I tried to do using the spaced repetition plugin for Obsidian but it's just not very good yet. I just checked and the author asked for a co-maintainer yesterday. I really hope they can find someone to put a bit of time in because it's a great idea and a great foundation.

Space repetition for atomic notes?
I want to create something like flashcard. Not like the usual flashcard with single line question and answer. I have already tried the famous plugins like obsidian-spaced-repetition, obsidian-recall and flashcards-obsidian. But all of them are designed to have multiple flashcards in a single note. Though spaced repetition plugin display my files, everything below white lines are discarded. Im looking for a solution where i can use my existing atomic notes as flashcards. Title of the note should be in the front side of the card and content in the back side. And it should use a similar algorithm and interface used by plugins like spaced repetition. obsidian-smart-random-note This is the only plugin close to what im looking. Unfortunately, it doesn't support Anki algorithm. How can i configure my atomic notes to be severed as flashcards?

Ask HN: How Do You Utilize Your Personal Knowledge Base?
* The idea of putting notes into a "reverse spaced repetition" algorithm where instead of spacing things you've learnt further and further into the future, you are spacing things that are "fruitful" nearer and nearer in the future (and when you have less to add, further into the future, when eventually a note becomes "evergreen"), which can be achieved with https://github.com/st3v3nmw/obsidian-spaced-repetition. This is described better by Andy: https://notes.andymatuschak.org/zJrfPCbY7GcpV9asEc8NTVzXTAV4...

Dashboard
Well, I will do my best and try to describe as much as possible. - At the top of the sidebar is an iframe widget for listening to internet radio. I pasted its code into a new note and dragged the note there. - Below that is the file navigation panel and I used this CSS snippet, created by Lithou to colour my folders and I adjusted this later to suit my needs. - At the top left of my dashboard is a CSS ribbon with the text "Home" on it. - Next to the ribbon are custom buttons, created thanks to the Buttons plugin. I have moved them up there in CSS, using the "position: absolute;" declaration and adjusting the position by trial and error, using the "top" and "right" properties. Among them are three buttons called "Flash". These are shortcuts to my notes, where I create a list of words to study, and I repeat them later using the Spaced Repetition plugin. - Below the ribbon is a "ᗐ Footer" link that scrolls the dashboard to the bottom. I also have one at the bottom that scrolls it to the "ᗑ Top". - Below that is a list of my tasks for today, managed by the Tasks plugin. - Next to it is an iframe widget with a digital clock. - And below is a link to a list of my weekly meals, generated by the Dataview plugin.

Is it alright if I just never use YAML?
I used to dislike it but I started using it to support the tags needed for the spaced repetition plugin. Since I've gotten used to it I've grown to prefer it to inline metadata. Yes, it's clutter, but the clutter is contained. And if I'm honest it's taught me to accept more clutter in my notes, which I count as a positive. Why should I care about how "clean" my notes are? It's expensive to maintain uncluttered notes, and for little benefit.
- How do all of you revisit notes?

Simple Note Review: a plugin for simple note review, resurfacing & repetition.
https://github.com/st3v3nmw/obsidian-spaced-repetition and https://github.com/martin-jw/obsidian-recall are both nice, but former was designed for cards (and is really, really slow on my vault - like 10+ seconds to open a new note); and the latter seemed a bit overcomplicated for my needs.
