What should I do with this WII?
Not64 is a huge improvement and the grand majority of games run just fine, modmii bundles the out of date wii64 and I don’t know why, heaps of games don’t work. Just download the last release from GitHub https://github.com/extremscorner/not64/releases

Console modding shouldn't be an afterthought!
Yeah, I know what you mean. There are certain consoles I haven't hacked yet just because the process seems more involved than I have the time or motivation for right now (XBox 360, for example), but I bought both my PSP and my Wii specifically because of what they could do when hacked (and the Wii has gotten even better, now that not64 has finally fixed the 'exploding geometry' problem that debilitated so many games before).

My top 20 games for 2020.
Personally, I do both. I've never gotten rid of any system I've ever owned, and have about 9 of them set up at the moment, but I also like to hack any systems I can and use them as multi-systems (the Wii is super easy for that, and the Not64 emulator for it is much better than it used to be -- they got rid of the 'exploding geometry' issue in May, making many previously broken games playable without issue).
