Welcome to mwmbl, the free, open-source and non-profit search engine
I wondered if this approach would be feasible for a distributed crawler: https://github.com/mwmbl/mwmbl#crawling
Also, your own posting appears to be missing from the index: https://mwmbl.org/?q=mwmbl+ycombinator
(and, yes, another vote for changing the domain name; you can have a quirky project name, but if I can't remember the cat-walking-on-keyboard domain, I'm not going to use it)

Show HN: A new search engine UX I've been working on in my free time
This is great! If you're interested in search engine UX, I'd be interested in incorporating some of these ideas into https://mwmbl.org - would love to get your input - join us on Matrix https://matrix.to/#/#mwmbl:matrix.org

Rustaceans, assemble!
I've given mwmbl.org a try and I can't say I was too impressed with the search results just yet, but that's fine. I like his philosophy and attitude, and I like that he wants to do (at least some of) it in Rust, so I'm going to try and spend some time on this project. Maybe you want to join me?

Why the world needs a non-profit search engine
As the underlying project discussed by this post is a search engine, I searched for “mwmbl” on mwmbl.org [0], and no results were found! Relevant results like the main site and GitHub repo show up when searched on Google or Kagi.
I disliked it too intially but it had grown on me after a couple of days. As to why the name was chosen and how to pronounce it are in the FAQ [1]

Never thought real-time searching will be so cool [mwmbl](https://mwmbl.org/).
