    Can't help you with Joomla, but for email dev why don't you make your life easier and use MJML( https://mjml.io/) and then just export it as HTML from there. It makes email dev a lot less terrible!

    There are some email frameworks out there like MJML that can be great for many use-cases. If you have a very specific design to work to and need to be pixel-perfect they can be troublesome but if you have a rough idea of what you want and the provided building blocks match up to that, then these can be a much better way to build.

    You got a reply for an overview of some frameworks, I would just recommend https://mjml.io/ simple becuase it's in active development. Use this to create emails that look ok in multiple clients.
