Generally no, but other clients are lagging behind those branded Element. For example, configuring integrations (bridges, widgets, ...) is only implemented in this client; and the protocol used between Element and the (non-free) integration server is not documented; though there is some sort of reverse-engineering here: https://github.com/turt2live/matrix-dimension/blob/master/do...
Scalar (the integration manager) is not open source [1] (though there was some effort to reverse-engineer its protocol [2]); and some of their anti-abuse scripts aren't public [3]
