Show HN: Geojson-shave, a tool for reducing the size of GeoJSON files
Have you thought about adding a simplification algorithm such as Ramer-Doublas-Peucker [0] or Visvalingam–Whyatt [1]? I've used https://mapshaper.org/ to do GeoJSON path simplification before and those seem to work very well. For applications which want to maintain path accuracy while reducing the number of waypoints that may be more effective than truncating the decimal places

Shapemap: How to
Useing the recommended TopoJSON converter from mapshaper.org (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/desktop-shape-map) however, when I add the GeoJSON file, it just freezes, nothing happens. (Does this happen to any of you?)

Paint bucket like tool
Have a try with https://mapshaper.org/. If you can export everything you want to "fill in" as GeoJSON, you can load in MapShaper as TopoJSON and calculate the gaps.

Any way to get zip code borders on a map and color gradient the areas by a value, without 3rd party visualizations, like the attached image?
Look at https://mapshaper.org, and simplify the zip code file. I used the Douglas-pueker option. Should be able to get that file size down considerably. I’m a GIS person that helped some consultants put GIS data into powerbi and this worked with some of our custom data. We had 30mb files down to less than 1mb.

Large amount of data points to esri-leaflet
I have transformed the original shapefile in a geojson using https://mapshaper.org/. However, it seems that this transformation was not accurate as I have lines circling the globe as of now. See https://freeimage.host/i/H2Rt7Fp , when I load it in Python using the following code; I do however get an accurate representation:
