  • CheatEngine 7.5 attaches properly without Linux-Server needed

Through same wineprefix as the game, you mean? Also, have you tested speedhack in CheatEngine? It doesn't work last time I tried (though even libspeedhack is kinda spotty with certain games). CE 7.2 to 7.4 seems to be able to manipulate values just fine, but it cannot run cheat tables with Lua scripts, very much limiting its usefulness so I went with GameConqueror.

pince would be a nicer option but yeah you can run cheat engine in wine then use ceserver running on linux then connect cheat engine to ceserver in the proc tab if you want slow mode then you will have to use https://github.com/evg-zhabotinsky/libspeedhack
  • How to speedhack Steam games on Linux?

https://github.com/evg-zhabotinsky/libspeedhack is the only way to do it that i know of much worse ui but it works as long as you disable steam runtime (look in the wiki section)
  • Cheat Engine .exe on Steam Deck ?

it can run via wine/proton with ceserver, speed hack does not work tho but there is https://github.com/evg-zhabotinsky/libspeedhack which does, there is also a alt to cheat engine called pince which would be less complicated to setup https://github.com/korcankaraokcu/PINCE

  • libspeedhack: how to use?
    1 project | /r/linux4noobs | 10 Oct 2021
OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. It's already installed. Instructions don't work. I used the example with the gears thing and pasted the below command, did absolutely nothing. Also, I paste the directory of a real GOG game with the .exe and all because it's not native, it doesn't detect it.

  • Using speedhack in GameConqueror?
    1 project | /r/wine_gaming | 9 Oct 2021
CheatEngine achieves this by modifying what's returned when the game asks what the current time is. GameConqueror doesn't have this functionality but there is other software that does. Here's one: https://github.com/evg-zhabotinsky/libspeedhack
  • Does Linux have a generic "speedhack" tool (similar to Cheat Engine on Windows)?
    1 project | /r/linuxmasterrace | 6 Sep 2021
Use this: https://github.com/evg-zhabotinsky/libspeedhack It's a simple speedhack, which can be used easily with proton games via steam launch options
