Message frequency by daytime for some of my chats [OC]
I get your concern. We take privacy and security super super seriously, which is why the app is entirely open-source. In other words, you can see all the code that the app uses. Let me know if any more questions: https://github.com/Left-on-Read/leftonread
I'm not OP (awesome viz), but in case in case you wanna see a chart that does this... I made a Dekstop app that will analyze your text messages in one click, no coding experience required. The app is also open-source (no data leaves your computer). It's called Left on Read. https://github.com/Left-on-Read/leftonread You can download it here: https://leftonread.me/

Thought OP's viz was super cool, so I shared as well! Considering we are open-source, someone might have to add OPs viz to it haha!

I built an open-source text message analyzer - AMA!
The short answer: the electron app itself took about 1.5 months with two people working on it full-time to get to a “minimum awesome product” state. Our Github contribution graph would probably tell the most accurate story.
Your text message data never leaves your computer and Left on Read is entirely open source. Left on Read also includes a "your year in texts" experience (similar to Spotify Wrapped) and productivity toolings, such as response reminders and the ability to schedule messages.

[OC] Texting Habits with my Girlfriend Post-Long Distance
Ah, so I filter out traditional stop words - all the code for this is open-source and can be downloaded as a Desktop app found here.
Ah, the app I built only works for iMessage. But it’s open-source, so maybe someone can add Android as a feature.
No, it’s a Desktop app I built myself with a friend! Also, the software is entirely open-source (link to github). The data is never read by us and it works entirely without an Internet connection. We take secure and privacy super seriously for exact reasons you describe!

I built an open-source Spotify Wrapped for Text Messages
This project is a ton of fun, so wanted to share! Using Electron, React, Typescript, and sqlite, I built an open-source Desktop app that analyzes iMessages and curates a Spotify wrapped-like experience. You can download it here or check us out on github. Let me know if any qs. It’s entirely open-source and we do not store your data. The beauty of a Desktop app: the data never leaves your computer!
