Is latte dock not dead?
There was an announcement from the original creator a year or so ago that they weren't going to work on it anymore. Looking on https://invent.kde.org/plasma/latte-dock it looks like there are some contributions over the last 4 months. Does anyone know for sure if there are new contributors? I was trying to decide whether to stay with latte or abandon for vanilla KDE panels. Depends on whether it's still being worked on.

Anyone else seeing Latte Dock icons disappearing sometimes on click after updating to Plasma 5.25? Also tried compiling the latest one from git but this is still reproducible.
When has it been abandoned? Genuine question, I was under the impression it was still very much active at https://invent.kde.org/plasma/latte-dock

Working on a KDE rice, latte dock makes several of my app icons white, google hasn't been much help for me. Anyone know how to make them normal? More info in comments

Using Manjaro instructions to install packages on Ubuntu. Am I doing this right?

Went from Ubuntu to Kubuntu.
Latte Dock is leagues ahead of regular panels. And despite the name, you can set it to appear as a regular panel. So it is just a straight upgrade.

Plasma 5.25
There's a popular app for KDE called Latte dock[1]. It replaces your bar with a highly configurable dock that was inspired by OSX.

Going to give KDE Plasma a real try, any "essential tweaks" or distro suggestions?
If you want multiple panels in a Unity like layout, I found it easier to do that with latte dock than with the builtin panels. I also like using this Plasma applet to display window title in a plasma/latte panel.
