I Made Spider-Man Swing Without Animating a Single Frame
My first stop was HyperFrames, which lets you write a video as HTML and render it out.

How I put my Copilot agents in my pocket: zero servers, end-to-end encryption and one nasty iOS bug
The product video on the Pocket Pilot page is HTML and GSAP, rendered frame by frame to MP4 with HyperFrames. The phones in it show the real app, not a mock-up. That gave me one more bug: the video kit had a .screen class, and so does the app, so the video painted the app's screen black. A check script now fails if any of the video's styles reach the app.

Hermes Agent Use Cases: 5 Free Things You Can Set Up Today (2026)
Q: What is HyperFrames? A: HyperFrames is an open-source framework from HeyGen that turns HTML, CSS, and GSAP compositions into deterministic MP4 videos. It was built specifically for AI agents, so an agent writes the video as a webpage and the framework renders it (hyperframes.dev, GitHub).

I fixed a clip-split bug in Hyperframes with 89 lines (and it was about where time starts)
A bug report about a two-second edit that lost its position. My fix: make the split point honest about time. Merged as heygen-com/hyperframes#3272 (+89/−2).

HTML in, MP4 out: rendering a video with HyperFrames instead of an editor
HyperFrames is HeyGen's open-source HTML-to-MP4 renderer. Apache 2.0, Node 22+, FFmpeg on PATH. Its README is basically three sentences: write HTML, render video, built for agents.

I asked an agent to make a product video. It wrote HTML and rendered an MP4 - Dota Companion
So I used HyperFrames — HeyGen's open-source (Apache 2.0) HTML-to-MP4 framework. Compositions are plain HTML and CSS. No JSX, no bundler, no build step. Timing lives in data attributes; motion comes from GSAP. A headless Chrome seeks the timeline frame by frame and FFmpeg encodes it.

Creating an animated manga with GPT Image 2.0 and Claude Code
So just to be clear, the technical postmortem is very interesting. I’d never heard of hyperframes [1] either, so I’ll have to check that out.
But (and again, I know this isn’t the point of the article) the big problem is that its practically a bingo-card of all the standard AI catchphrases. The whole “This isn’t X, it’s Y” thing (“This isn’t just food, it’s a promise”), followed by short strings of little one-liners like “one customer, one box, zero mistakes.”
And it of course it went for the middle-of-the-road neonoir cyberpunk and to hammer home the "cyberpunk aspect" it threw in some rather unnatural sounding Chinese/Japanese? (未才東京...?)
For anyone with even a passing familiarity with AI, it’s an absolute banshee's wail of LLM-style prosaic banality.
