How to get rid of titlebar with emacs-mac
I'd like to go borderless with emacs-mac because I don't need the titlebar, it saves a tiny bit of screen, but mostly it looks so much better without the titlebar. I was able to do this with emacs-plus by building with --with-no-titlebar option (see here).
That's how it works in emacs-plus, but I wasn't able to find a similar flag in emacs-mac. I searched the source for phrases like "titlebar" but found nothing relevant. Do you know which flag to set? I already tried --with-no-titlebar, which is what emacs-plus uses

Why are fonts heavier in the GTK GUI?
I don't have an answer, but I'll add that I notice the same in macOS between iTerm and the GUI version (home-brew-emacs-plus).

What is the best way to set up Emacs on macOS Big Sur?
I just got Emacs running on my new Big Sur laptop (with an M1 chip). I used the d12frosted Emacs-plus distribution (https://github.com/d12frosted/homebrew-emacs-plus). The brew install creates a sym link in the applications folder, so I set up an Alfred script to open that application directly (it doesn’t open a terminal window).

native-comp review stuck for 6 months?!
Another datapoint: I'm on native-comp on macOS 10.15 (built via the homebrew emacs-plus formula) using Spacemacs and so far I have seen zero problems. The performance gains are quite noticeable in my day to day Clojure development environment though.
