PSA: Godot 4 has many issues with pixel perfect games
For the past two weeks, I've been attempting to get smooth camera movement working in a pixel perfect Godot 4 game. You may have seen my previous post about this issue from a few days ago. After countless hours of research and asking various Godot developers and veterans, I've come to the conclusion that Godot 4.0 introduces an overwhelming amount of regressions and undocumented changes that makes this seemingly unachievable at the moment. I'm not going into details here, but the list of roadblocks and factors that contribute to this issue is pretty massive as I outlined in this feature suggestion.
There is actually a proposal about that specifically. https://github.com/godotengine/godot-proposals/issues/5658
There's no guarantee, but you might be alright. The cracks in the surface only seem to come out when you start introducing viewports and more advanced techniques into the mix. Despite this, there are still plenty of outstanding bugs that may or may not affect whether pixel renders properly. Here's an issue I made with a list of factors to consider that I keep updated.

FSR2 can now be built on Linux without using Wine
It's also very likely that FSR2 will now end up in Linux-native game engines like Godot as requested here. The latest release of Godot 4.0 was just two days ago and it's now possible to make 3D games with a new Vulkan-based renderer. It already includes FSR1 by the way. I recommend checking it out here.

Working with pixel perfect games in 4.0 is a massive headache
Here it is: https://github.com/godotengine/godot-proposals/issues/6389
If you find anything, please let me know. For now, here’s a proposal I made on GitHub describing this problem
