Google Removed ClearURLs Extension from Chrome Web Store
I use Firefox Focus on mobile which lets you reset your entire browser and cookie history with one click. It also has some built-in tracking protection and content blocking.
While it doesn’t solve the issue of add-ons, it has enough of a privacy focus to make me feel better about reducing my footprint on the mobile.
It’s a pity that development is not as active as it used to be, but looks like Firefox are still supporting the project [1]

How to make downloads on Firefox focus work like Firefox?
Sounds like incorrect behavior from the server sending the file as plain/text. Most browsers do some detection of servers that are not configured correctly which is why it works in Firefox iOS. There is not really much you can do to besides use Firefox iOS. You could report your problem to the Focus team but it might be a while before that is fixed.
