Big update for Farmhand: Cow Trading!

Peer-to-peer functionality is powered by public BitTorrent trackers, so connectivity may be flaky from time to time. There's not much we can do about that, as we don't have any control over those servers. Connections are completely sandboxed within your browser, so there is no privacy risk or access to your file system (feel free to audit the code if you'd like to verify that yourself: https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand).2 projects | reddit.com/r/incremental_games | 26 Mar 2022
The lack of indication of future upgrades is intentional. My goal was for rewards to be fun surprises, sort of like an old-school RPG. However, there's some wiki documentation to show when things get unlocked: https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand/wiki

There's some prior discussion of adding more milk varieties to the game and what you're describing could fit. Take a look at this feature ticket: https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand/issues/2202 projects | reddit.com/r/FarmhandGame | 12 Feb 2022

How I designed an abuse-resistant, fault-tolerant, zero cost, multiplayer online game

Nearly a year ago I deployed a multiplayer feature for Farmhand, an open source and web-based farming game that I created. Since that initial deployment, the multiplayer system has experienced no downtime or service degradation. And best of all, I've paid nothing to host the service and therefore I am able to allow others to play for free. This article is an overview of how I designed this system from the ground up.
Big Farmhand updates: A major new feature, and a new game!
A few people have mentioned hiding the start page after showing it, so I can add a setting to hide that. I've filed an issue for that: https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand/issues/234
I agree that's something which is notably missing from the game. We've got plans to add a variety of automation mechanics to the game (see https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand/projects/1), so that will come in time. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you for the excellent bug report! I've filed an issue and assigned it to myself to get it fixed: https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand/issues/236
This is a really great idea! I've opened a ticket to get this implemented.
Yep, that's the same root issue. I've updated https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand/issues/236 to cover that!
Big updates in Farmhand 1.10.23: Expanded dev team, more features, and more content!
A number of folks have asked for cow supplies to be in the shop, and especially now that we have a tabbed interface for the shop (we shipped that just yesterday), I think it makes sense too. I've just filed a ticket to get this done: https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand/issues/191
I agree, it's something that needs to be balanced better. We're discussing ideas for high-priced items to give players more late game goals on Discord. Feel free to chime in if you have any ideas! In the meantime, per a suggestion from u/Jove108, a feature request was filed to add a weather machine as a late game goal: https://github.com/jeremyckahn/farmhand/issues/193
r/Uoipka just to update you, I discussed this with the other devs and subsequently filed a ticket to explore this idea. Thanks again for the feedback!
