Preferred Monospace Font?
Fantasque Sans Mono (https://github.com/belluzj/fantasque-sans). There's also a Nerd variant, but I don't use it.
I like Fantasque Sans Mono, and Inconsolata, and Input (not open source).
That being said, I just switched to Comic Mono a month ago and I'm surprisingly happy with it. I saw Fantasque Sans Mono being mentioned here, which sounds like a next-gen Comic Mono: https://github.com/belluzj/fantasque-sans

Coding with Character – Monospaced fonts can be playful and fun
After trying a lot of fonts for hours and hours, I ended up with Fantasque Sans Mono: https://github.com/belluzj/fantasque-sans
It's somewhat similar to Comic Sans, like the Comic Code from the article, but less playful. It's the most readable programming font I have ever had, with many other typefaces I often see text a little blurry.

Comic Mono – a legible monospace font
Surprised to see [Fantasque Sans Mono](https://github.com/belluzj/fantasque-sans/) not mentioned yet. It's the best "comic"-style font I was aware of, which I used for coding/terminal for a long time (I currently use Victor Mono).
