  • Aruba Instant CLI command to show all APs with wired port MAC address?
    1 project | /r/ArubaNetworks | 11 Feb 2023
If I had my way, I would do the docs the way Influx does them. That’s got to be one of the best-organized tech doc libraries I’ve come across in recent memory. If you get there via a search engine, it tells you at the top of the page “hey, this is from a different code version than the current one” and provides a link to the current version, but also a drop-down to select whichever version you are interested in. And then usually “this was deprecated in version X.Y, replaced with $otherthing. Applied to Aruba, I would also have links to the equivalent command on other platforms like Instant vs Campus, or AOS-S vs CX, as well as how to accomplish this same command via CLI, Web UI, API, or Ansible, along with back links into related Airheads posts… But I’m not in charge of docs (which is just as well, I probably don’t need that kind of stress!)
  • create measurement in OSS

OK, so that command isn't trying to create a measurement, it's trying to create a bucket-schema - essentially setting rules about permitted fields, which is cloud only - https://github.com/influxdata/docs-v2/issues/2470
