  Windows 10 initially had a great support for DirectX 8 apps, but with every big update (starting with Anniversary Update), they broke something. At this point, running old games without d3d8to9[0] or dgVoodoo2[1] is impossible.

  So Blood Omen 2 runs fine when i use the d3d8.dll from, this link https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9/releases and fixes my menu issues/freezing on Windows 10. But i also wanted to try the Conceptual edition mod which comes with its version of the Revamped d3d8.dll which upon launch of the game always crashes it. Any suggestions, I can play Vanilla fine now but i really wanted to try the mod . There is a substantial size difference between the two dll files if that helps. I wondered if i can merge them ?

  Occasionally, you can get directx8 games to work using d3d8to9, and rarely a game uses shader model 2/3 but can still run. Those sorts of games are definitely exceptions, though.

• Has anyone already tried to use RTX Remix in Freelancer? If so, how do you remove that glare?

  I have been working on RTX Remix integration in Freelancer for a bit, the problem is that you need to use a wrapper such as https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9/releases to convert all calls to DirectX9.

  I found a fix! Download this https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9/releases/tag/v1.11.0 and paste the file in the game directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia\Mafia). Game will run on dedicated GPU even if the game settings still show the integrated graphics.
