    The Economist has an awesome data-set / viz that shows excess deaths around the world. This has long been a preferred metric of mine, because it doesn't explicitly point to COVID19 as the cause. It just says that SOMETHING caused x number of excess deaths above what we would have expected. COVID is the likely culprit for obvious reasons, but this data-set removes the ambiguity of all the misinformation campaigns. It is just a simple fact; a massive number of people died in the last 24 months over and above what was expected.

    It's not perfect, but you can get a rough estimate of how many people actually died of corona in the US by looking at the all-cause mortality chart. Alternatively, you could just check out this piece that The Economist published last month. The real numbers seem to be a bit higher than what is reported.
