  Otherwise, why don't you try to find a different game in the hobby that supports your character idea and style of play? There are TONS of great systems out there. For example the Powered by the Apocalypse 'mechanic' is used by a lot of narrative-driven or Fiction First games, such as Ironsworn. It's marketed and designed as a self-contained solo system, but it can be easily played with a group. It's also super hackable, as the SRD is in Creative Commons, there are a LOT of hacks for it already, like Delves and Denizens that makes it more DnD-like, or Arcanum, which adds high magic. It's also super easy to learn, as the actual rules in the FREE core is less than 25 pages!

• Do solo playstyles like Solitaire Campaign Books and Interactive Web Adventures exist for this game? How well does ths game adapts to soltaire esp being both DM and 1 Player simultanously? Does a website similar to DND Beyond for character keeping, dice rolling, and stat calculation exist for this?

  If you're looking for something a bit different, Ironsworn is a popularly recommended system due to A) the Core is completely free, B) it's a complete, self-contained system with over 250 pages, and the actual rules being less than 50 pages, less than 25 if you ignore the character creation chapter, C) was designed for solo, but can easily support Co-Op (without a GM) and Guided (traditional, with a GM) play. It also has its own subreddit r/Ironsworn There is a paid expansion, Delve, which adds dungeon exploration to the mechanics. There's also a sister system, Ironsworn: Starforged, or just Starforged, is a futuristic sci-fi version. On top of those, the community is so collaborative and wholesome, that the Ironsworn SRD is in Creative Commons, and there are a TON of FREE HACKS for modifying the core system, such as adding high magic and more options to expand the core Oracles and Assets. Assets are what you use to customize your character; as there are no traditional classes, how you mix and match the assets determines your character's build. It is worth noting that Ironsworn is known as, and even calls itself, a Fiction-First game, not a Mechanics-first game, like D&D, Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, Fate, etc.

  It's marketed as a gritty, low-fantasy setting, but you can easily hack or with one of the MANY FREE HACKS for it, such as Ironsmith for more options, Arcanum is popular for high magic, Ironcrunch (if the rules are too light for you), Delves and Denizens/Vaults and Vows/a couple other 'D&D'-like hacks that make it more high-fantasy. So you can easily 'throw away' the core setting and use Golarion for example, if you wanted. I'm currently using Ironsworn with a sprinkling of PF1E mechanics to run myself through the Rise of the Runelords.

  As a recommendation I'll throw into the proverbial ring, to check out and see if it's for you, is Ironsworn. It's pretty rules light, and there are no classes, only how you build your character by mixing and matching "Assets" which are kinda like modular feats. There's also a TON of hacks, like a few D&D supplements.
