What are the disadvantages of Rust?

Which of the many GUI frameworks to use?
I've looked at a good portion of them over at https://areweguiyet.com in the hopes of making some kind of GUI project in Rust that would have a decent look and feel. Well, I've found that none of them sell themselves well on looks unless they are based on some kind of web technology. I mean seriously, have you looked at Druid's Readme? It's horrible. Most of them don't even dare mentioning animations and easing, something I find to be very important for UX.

The state of Rust GUI libraries
There are many other GUI libraries in the Rust ecosystem, and you can find a comprehensive list on Are We GUI Yet and LibHunt.

Binary distribution with statically linked C-dependencies
Firstly, why do you use libX11 directly? Are aware that most GNU/Linux distro are moving to Wayland? There's https://lib.rs/winit and other crates which abstract over display server and even operating system. What about using gtk-rs or any other GUI library out there? There are many of them for Rust. https://areweguiyet.com

Bevy game engine v0.6.0 released
I noticed the short section on changes to Bevy's UI. I expect both GPU rendering and ECS will be important capabilities to consider for new GUI systems, and Bevy does both well. How do you imagine Bevy fitting into the budding Rust GUI story a la https://areweguiyet.com ? An entrant itself? The backend for one? Would you consider pure GUI applications an important use-case for Bevy now, or perhaps some time in the future?
