LPT: When planning for a wedding, get pricing from caterers, florists, tables/chairs, etc. as just a party, not a “wedding”.
Anon Addy might be be good for that. Let's you create aliases you can name whatever you want, like with the name of the site, and then forward to the email you want it at. So they'll never get your real email, you know exactly which service sells your data , and you can create new emails on the fly (or delete)

My alt reddit accounts keep getting suspended since it doesn't have an email associated with it. What are good throwaway email providers, that I can still access in the future in case I need to reset my password?
Found anonaddy.com after years of using various throwaway methods (alt gmail accounts, 10minutemail, guerillamail and so on). Honestly so damn convenient to have separate addresses for all sites that still ends up in my regular email account but that I can disable with just a button. I have a paid account but the free tier is very sufficient most most users I think.

which layered protection strategies are commonly used by email security experts?
I use anonaddy to create separate email addresses that all get forwarded to my main email address. They allow you to disable aliases so if one gets pwned you can just delete it. Another option is SimpleLogin it does the same thing as anonaddy.
