WinDeckOS is OUT NOW!!
A better approach would be to start with a proper ISO downloaded directly from Microsoft and run a post-install script that installs any applications, drivers, and system tweaks you prefer. A similar project exists that I use and recommend for getting a fresh Windows install running on Steam Deck.

WinDeckOs looks very promising!
The only thing different here are some inbox apps are removed and Steam + assorted drivers are installed out of the box, all of which you can do with a community installer script and community tweaking tools.

I went through the same thing, and every source I read said it's best to install windows to the SD internal memory and use SD cards only for additional storage to whichever OS needs it.
