Which capture card to buy for 3ds and how to set it up?
This method requires you to first install CFW, then use Nanquitas' custom 3GX Loader Edition of the Luma3DS boot.firm to allow you to run BootNTRSelector, which you can then view with Snickerstream (or NTRView if you own a Wii U). This particular method (via NTR) only works on New models, but there is an alternate (and now deprecated/unsupported) method for Old models.
- I keep getting this error. It has firewall access, IP is correct, BootNTR is running fine, but it won't connect unless I enable debug mode, and when I do this is the message I get. Is there something I'm missing?

Off the scene for a few years, is there now a reliable easy way to play on tv or capture?
The alternative to a physical capture card is the CFW WiFi streaming method. This requires you to first install CFW, then use Nanquitas' 3GX Loader Edition of Luma3DS to allow you to run BootNTRSelector, which you can then view with Snickerstream. This particular method (via NTR) only works on New models, but there is an alternate method for Old models.

Nothing can beat 3DS in count of variants
Almost all models have capture cards, they just arent manufactured anymore due to legal issues... But you can use CFW to stream over WiFi with New 3DS. It runs at 30fps https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-bootntr-selector.432911/ https://github.com/RattletraPM/Snickerstream

Big Screen and mobile
Have you tried using Snickerstream? It does exactly what you are asking for. The only prerequisite is a 3ds with CFW, which you seem to have.

Capture card problems & alternatives
You'll need to use Nanquitas' 3GX Loader Edition of Luma3DS v10.2.1 so you can run BootNTRSelector and connect to something like Snickerstream.
