This is awesome! I'm curious if this is inspired by SlimHUD at all? It's another project which I believe was shared here some time ago. Your tool has several of the same features, but I do appreciate the extra polish and integration with Music here.

Is there a way to change the volume icon size?
There is this free app SlimHUD, which I have not tested, but it seems to do the job.

Disable Volume/Brightness Overlay - MacOS Big Sur
Right now, I'm using an app called SlimHUD to get a nicer, iOS-ish volume indicator. The only issue is that the dev hasn't found a way to get rid of the default overlay.

Checking out the app, there is an option to put the bar horizontally either in the bottom or the top of the screen.
