Alteka Kards update and VT Kounter announcement - free test cards and VT rundown timer
I've posted here a couple of times about a project I'm part of - Alteka Kards. An amazing 7,500 downloads of Kards 1.2.0 later (and over 10k across all releases!), we're excited to release Kards 1.3.0. This new release wraps up a number of updates, bringing you more features, new cards and bugfixes. Existing Kards 1.2.0 installations should prompt to update, or download at https://alteka.solutions/kards

Does anyone know of a sync app for android phones?
Alteka Kards has a sync mode, you can run the online version on your phone browser. It's a really nice tool, and free!

Test Patterns
Honestly I just use Kards to get my projector area dialed in, then put Blender on my screen and model the geometry. It's sort of the guerrilla way to get it done but it works and it's free
- I made my "perfect" 1080p test image today. Thought some of you folks might find it handy! (Full res in comments)

Conductor Cam help?
There are some slightly newer flat screen TVs that only have 1 or 2 frames of delay with composite, but it needs experimentation to find good ones (if you are doing this, use something like https://alteka.solutions/kards which has a frame sync mode. Set up a screen playing that, place the screen to test next to it, point the camera to test at the kards monitor, then using another camera film both screens. This will show the number of frames of latency between the kards screen and the test screen which will also include the test cameras latency). The old Sony/Panasonic OB van portable analogue monitor type things are the safest bet.
