Does anyone still set up FSRM to file screen against ransomware/encrpyted files?

Would like to thank everyone for their input here and have a follow up question. I've implemented this particular version of the encryption blocking FSRM method and while I've enabled the command in there to shutdown LANMANSERVER, is it possible to remotely disable the NIC of the workstation that tried to save to the share and add the name of that workstation to the email that gets sent and to the warning event that gets logged? I'd rather not allow it to do anything on the network or reach out to anyone else on the internet either.
