Have a look at this: https://github.com/Scott-Cooper/Drawbot_image_to_gcode_v2 -- it uses processing and is configured to use Copic markers; separating the image into different plates/layers that you'd run after manually swapping the pens. I have not run it multi-color, only used it for the single color processing option.
